Emergency Responders

Pipelines In Our Communities

If a leak or rupture were to occur, are you prepared to respond?

In an emergency situation, CPPL's priorities are the same as yours -- to protect life, environment and property. Help us ensure the safety of your community by familiarizing yourself with the location of pipelines and by knowing how to identify, prevent and respond to a pipeline emergency. CPPL relies on you as a local government officials to notify us when you observe damages to our facilities that could impact your community.

Each year, ConocoPhillips Pipe Line Company (CPPL) conducts training for employees and emergency officials that may have to help manage potential pipeline disruptions. CPPL also has online supplemental training available for those emergency officials that can't make it to the training that is provided by our industry. Please visit the Emergency Response/ Excavator Training portal, and take the online training at no charge to you.

Please review the attached brochure to learn more about recognizing pipeline leaks, incident response tactics, potentional hazards during a pipeline leak, locating pipelines, and protecting pipeline and rights-of-way.
